Yeah, I’m that obsessive, Google/YT addicted, restless 'digger'. As I said before, I do get stuck into, well, all sorts of things. I also love to wander around...
So, I was listening to Nina Simone the other day and I was curious to find out more about this song... Geez! There are several dozens of “Spells” on You Tube... Lots of people I’ve never heard of before, but otherwise great singers and musicians. Of course, I had to use my headphones since nobody could listen to the same song all day long (no matter the different arrangements). Neither would I, if it were not for my... OCD episodes. I spent an entire day on this. Thank God it was weekend! (Had the weekend been longer I would have put these names in chronological order. Right now I choose to cling to what’s left of my sanity and stop right here.)

And here there are...
From warm and cosy to hysterical and tormented. Spinning time and sounds (I have no idea who are all these people, with few exceptions, but I’d love to have some of them singing at my living funerals... and I'm by no means terminal):
Simone’s epigone, Terry Reid, Tab Benoit (with friends), Queen Latifah, She & Him (just listen to this!), Creedence, Betty Miller, Carol Kidd, Joss Stone & Jeff Beck), Pete Townshend / Pat Metheny, David Gilmour, Leslie West, Charmaine Neville Band, Eric Burdon, CA Quintet, Bonny Tyler, Katie Melua, DK Ibomeka, Yuka Honda's Helenka , Samantha Fish, Blues Highway, Peter Korving, Howlin’ Pelle & Co, Gov’t Mule, Demon Fuzz, Joe Cocker (and his impersonator), Audience ('cult British art rock band'), Tim Curry (more of those British), Thin Lizzy (Irish troubles), Arthur Brown, Manfred Mann, Alan Price, Johnny Rivers, Bryan Ferry, Buddy Guy, John Fogerty, Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, Van Morrison, The Animals, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Marilyn Manson (the spell of dark), Haiti Relief, Sonique (technopop spells), Dee Dee (Retro European style), Catherine Ringer & Iggy Pop, Korean style, Japanesse Style (WTH?!), Cindy Wilson, Idle Hands, Paloma Faith, Sherry Wilson Butler, the Youngsters. Damn it! Those ladies. Those guitars. Need a drink!... Flotilla DeBarge (the depths of clownery; quite amazing), Natacha Atlas (music migration; Eastern flavor; my neighborhood (sort of); never heard it before).

Finally, the Idol shows' generation: Siobhan Magnus, Casey Abrams, Julien Dore (a former yukulélé boy and the Nouvelle Star of 2007), Sahra da Silva & the Jagged Soul, (Go Denmark!)
And this is how a song of few words (but all the right ones) can reach immortality!
